Home, written by Lizzie Allen and directed by Sally Cookson was produced by the Travelling Light Theatre Company for a three month run at the Bristol Old Vic December 2008 to February 2009. Two dear friends are in search of a home. But when they find one it’s already occupied by a lonesome piano player. Touched by his music they decide to give him the gift of hope, love and laughter, turning a simple house into a HOME. A magical new show for everyone aged 3 and above. ...In Sally Cookson's delightful production, Lizzie Allen's play for the under-sixes is rather like Beckett for beginners, a wonderfully concrete and yet infinitely playful meditation on the meaning of home. When bag lady Florrie enquires, "Where are we?" and Todd replies, "We are here", it is a triumphant reminder of their survival against the odds.... The Guardian
